Nick and Pip Molnar are the proud owners of 26 acres of land on the edge of the town of Forres, Moray, Scotland.

The Molnars established Forres Friends of Woods and Fields as a community-based environmental charity in 2020 with the intent to steward and restore the 26 acres of diverse woodland, river and fields, and local community food production all alongside providing a space for people to reconnect with nature (see map illustration)

In 2023, the Molnar’s decided to gift this land to the Trust for safe keeping in community and organic/biodynamic cultivation and care, with the charity they have set up as tenants. The ambition is to work collectively to help them find ways for it to become sustainable and viable. Nick and Pip have exciting plans and their team trustees help are resourceful in steering those plans into something concrete. Recent funding has secured the charity a 6 month development worker to consult with the local community and create an action plan, as well as funds for deer fencing the community garden, and building a polytunnel etc.

We are thrilled to have Forres Friends of Woods and Fields as an associate farm member, to strengthen the role of biodynamics across the UK and showcase a portfolio of different approaches to organic/biodynamic farming that works for people and planet.
