Join us for an informative day on the activities of the Biodynamic Land Trust and 5 of our farms’ approaches to on farm fertility as part of the Farm Organism.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held this year alongside our Family of Farms Day hosted in-person at Oakbrook Farm in Stroud, Gloucestershire with a hybrid online option for those that cannot join in-person.
The AGM will start at 09.30 with coffee and tea available in advance from 9.15. At the AGM Directors will present reports of activities and finances to shareholders including information about the organisation’s development and strategy, achievements and future prospects.
The Family of Farms Day will start at 11.30 and will be an exciting array of 10 minute flash talks from all 5 of our farms; (Tablehurst, Huxhams Cross, St Giles, Springham Grove and Oakbrook). Each farm will discuss their approach in building fertility throughout the farm organism. To follow will be a workshop and panel discussion with soil samples from each farm, providing an opportunity for tangible and wider engagement with fertility building – including the use of biodynamic preparations and the integration of livestock. The day will finish with a farm walk hosted by Oakbrook to explore how the different enterprises onsite interweave with the fertility question.
This is a dynamic, collaborative process within our Family of Farms and with the opportunity throughout the workshop for participation from all to take a deep dive into on-farm challenges across a range of geographically diverse farms in the UK.
