An invitation to the BDLT’s Growing Together event and AGM

Saturday 3 October | 9.30am–4.00pm | Hawkwood, near Stroud

We are inviting members, supporters, farmers and friends to gather at Hawkwood, near Stroud, for our annual Growing Together AGM and Members’ Event.

This is a chance to reconnect with our community, celebrate the achievements of the past year, and look ahead to the exciting opportunities that lie before us. Whether you’ve been involved with the Biodynamic Land Trust for years or are discovering our work for the first time, you’ll find a warm welcome and an inspiring day of conversation, learning and connection.

Inspiring voices for a changing landscape

We’re delighted to be joined by two guest speakers whose work is helping shape the future of farming and rural communities.

Dan Smith, a Nuffield Scholar, tenant farmer, consultant and regenerative systems designer, brings a wealth of practical experience in creating resilient farming systems that work with nature.

Joining him is Anna Jones, a Nuffield Scholar, rural affairs journalist and broadcaster, well known for her work on Countryfile and Farming Today. Anna has spent her career telling the stories of Britain’s countryside and will share her insights into the vital connections between communities, farms, food and the future of land stewardship.

Together, Dan and Anna will explore how we can strengthen relationships between people and the land, and what this means for the future of sustainable farming.

A day to reflect, learn and connect

Alongside the short, formal AGM, the day offers plenty of opportunities to meet fellow members and supporters, exchange ideas and enjoy meaningful conversations. Whether you’re passionate about biodynamic farming, regenerative agriculture, access to land, or building thriving rural communities, you’ll be among like-minded people who care deeply about the future of our food and farming systems.

We’ll also enjoy a delicious sit-down lunch together, providing even more time to connect and continue the conversations sparked throughout the day.

We’d love to see you there

Our annual gathering is one of the highlights of the Biodynamic Land Trust calendar. It reminds us that lasting change happens through collaboration, shared purpose and strong communities.
