Access to Land 9-10th November 2011

Gathering for New Farmers and Growers at the Biodynamic Agricultural College

Are you thinking of getting a piece of land? Starting a farm, garden or smallholding? Maybe you have land but it is not used.

Many people are thinking of land in different ways. Access to land is one of the main stumbling blocks for many new entrants to the farming and gardening world. From small urban plots, through long waiting lists for allotments and the high prices of agricultural land, it is a challenge for many to put a new spade in the ground.

Today there are new and alternative ways in which one can gain access to land.

Access to Land is an event which aims to explore these issues and possibilities. The event will host talks and presentations from leading initiative such as Tablehurst and Plawwhatch CSA, the Biodynamic Land Trus, the Ecological Land Cooperative and more. There will be workshops and an initiative market where new opportunities can be initiated and people and land connected.

If you are looking to put a spade in the ground join this unique event!
