We are delighted to invite you to this year’s Family of Farms Sharing & Learning Day, AGM & Strategy, taking place on Friday 4th October at Huxhams Cross Farm, Devon.
This year’s theme is ‘Funding for Agroecological Farms’. Together with some experts, we will explore the opportunities available through local and national government grants to support farm viability, as well as how funding can open doors for greater social engagement through education and community connection.
We are excited to welcome Christine Meadows, Rachel Phillips, and Dan Powell – grant funding experts who will share practical insights on navigating different funding pathways.
As always, this is a collaborative gathering, joined by our tenant and associate farms, members and supports, and the wider public. We invite all to bring their contributions and experience in finding financial support to help farms transition to more socially, economically and environmentally community-connected farming.
This day will also include our AGM with our Directors Gabriel Kaye and Ian Nicholson providing strategic insights into future direction of the Land Trust. Followed by a guided farm walk around Huxhams Cross. This will be an opportunity to explore the multiple enterprises on site, including the agroforestry, mixed low-input livestock systems, market garden, and more – and of course ask the big questions and take inspiration into your own communities of practice.
More details about the event and booking can be found on Eventbrite. Please book on here to help us identify numbers for catering and chair allocation.
