The Biodynamic Land Trust was one of three social enterprises chosen – out of 26 –to pitch at the Good Deals Beyond Good Business conference on social investment at RIBA, London on the 13 March.
Wholehearted gratitude to our supporters who came to our pitch in front of a live audience and a panel representing Big Issue Invest, Buzzacote, NatWest Foundation, and Resonance.
Communications manager Elisabeth Winkler and executive director Gabriel Kaye presented the five-minute pitch with Gabriel answering questions from the panel.
Here is @BeyondGoodBiz‘s video of the first two minutes of the pitch where Elisabeth sets the scene for the Biodynamic Land Trust’s mission.
Go @BDLandTrust! Our last fish to pitch. Refreshing visuals to tackle a massive pain! Will they win the heart of the sharks? Vote for them in the pinned post and with your voting cards! pic.twitter.com/j8WlMIywxv

How did we do?
We came a close second in the live pitch, received unanimous thumbs-up from the panel and won the online Twitter poll. We were approached by interested parties, and have since had positive communications about investment and partnerships.
Biodynamic Land Trust was chosen to pitch for its “diversity, originality, and clear roadmaps of financial goals.”
According to Pioneers Press press release:
“Biodynamic Land Trust, which has secured over 300 acres for sustainable farming purposes, is looking for £60k to fund the completion of a multi-purpose low-carbon community centre. Pitching for the trust will be executive director Gabriel Kaye and communications manager Elisabeth Winkler.”
